Mission
Our mission is to provide opportunities for insight, healing and personal growth by providing services that draw on a range of disciplines. We combine innovative therapeutic approaches with best practices to deliver meaningful outcomes that benefit individuals and organizations.
As thoughtful leaders in mental health, psychedelic assisted therapies, and wellness, we are intentional in the respect for traditional therapeutic approaches and honor the ancestral heritage of psychedelic and plant-based medicines (entheogens). As we learn from the past, we also lean forward with technology to assist in the delivery of purposeful experiences to facilitate development and growth.

Melissa Stander, MA, LMFT (She/Her)
Clinical Director
Heart and Soul Centered Compassionate Healing
Melissa has been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 2008 and has been a Clinical Supervisor overseeing the training of pre-licensed therapists, social workers and counselors since 2021.
Long before she dedicated her considerable talents to supporting her psychotherapy clients and the clinical associates whom she is privileged to train, Melissa developed a basis in the healing arts as a Reiki Master/Teacher, a massage therapist and a Craniosacral Therapy practitioner. In fact, Melissa continues to maintain an ever-evolving bodywork practice, in addition to her clinical work. Melissa holds the philosophy that body, mind, spirit and communal relationship are all aspects of a whole and healthy person, which is a guiding through-line to all of her work. This worldview informs Melissa’s grounding in various somatic and trauma-informed modalities that make up her integral approach to offering bespoke treatment and support to each of her clients.
Most recently, Melissa has sought innovative ways to address some of the deeply entrenched suffering that she has witnessed among her clients, such as Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD), Anxiety disorders, Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD. This curiosity regarding the cutting edge of treatment led Melissa to become certified in the burgeoning field of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, a modality that, research has shown, offers breakthrough possibilities for the healing of intransigent diagnoses where other approaches have faltered in the past.
No stranger to personal pain and recovery, Melissa identifies as a Wounded Healer. Struggling as a young woman with Major Depression, severe body dysmorphia and a multiplicity of eating disorders, Melissa found her way out of despair with the help of Holotropic Breathwork, Integrative Body Psychotherapy, Kundalini Yoga and the mind and soul-opening effects of entheogenic plant medicines such as Psilocybin mushrooms and Cannabis.
Melissa gratefully acknowledges that, without the compassionate support of dedicated innovators and practitioners in a wide array of healing modalities, she might never have been able to access and utilize her own inner healing resources to achieve lasting mental, physical and spiritual health. She feels that it is her honor, in reciprocation, to offer that same level of deeply informed assistance to others in finding their personal capacity for self healing and optimal health.
